What aspect of your personality could use a little work?
I could do with a little less self-doubt -- or to put it positively, more self-confidence. I second-guess myself a lot, even after the fact, and end up spending a lot of energy on things that other people don't even notice.
When you travel, do you use a guidebook so that you're well prepared, or do you go without much prior knowledge so that you're surprised?

I do a lot of research before most expeditions to new places. I don't like to be in completely unknown territory. But once I get somewhere, I don't have to stick to an agenda or schedule. If something comes up, I generally do whatever is the most fun.
What have you changed your mind about?
Submitted by chitoes.
I suppose it's too late to rethink the whole "parenting" thing... LOL
I thought, once, that I wanted to do really big things. Good things that would make a big impact.
Now, I just want to be a good person, a decent person. Doing small things the best I can, being kind and loving to the people around me.
What are 10 things you've done that other people probably haven't?
Submitted by Janette.
I have snorkeled off Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands (as a child, 30+ years ago); I have enjoyed gardening; I know I am the only person to have married my Tom -- or mothered my two children; I am the only person to paint the kinds of flowers I do; I have written a couple of little songs; I started a prayer service at one church we attended; I write stories sometimes... and I am the very best "ME" I can!
LOL pretty lame list, isn't it?
How do you keep calm?

I play word games online -- or (when I have a good bathtub) I take long baths and read.
And I like to spend time in the garden or paint...
What do you think is your best physical attribute?

I think my smile is my best attribute. I have a nice face -- not spectacular, but pleasant. And people respond well when I smile.
If your Vox Neighborhood had a potluck dinner tonight, what dish, drink or dessert would you bring?
I wouldn't go... I'd make my favorite corn, bean and mango salad and stay home!
For a full sit-down dinner with several guests, would you rather be the one cooking or do you prefer to just show up and eat?
I don't like full sit-down dinners, ever! I don't even like "parties" so I have to say this question doesn't apply. But I wonder how many people are as "group averse" as I am?
What did you do as a child that you feel guilty about even to this day?
My brother had taken a small toy of mine -- a paper doll and hidden it in his toybox. When I found it by accident, looking for a truck or something, I took it back. He was sad and upset. I didn't realize then that he also needed pretty things. I have thought about it for years. If I had it to do over, I would like to think I would give him permission to play with my toys whenever he asked... so that he could play with them, and I wouldn't think I had lost them.
